Proposed renewal of the Business Improvement District for Inverness

Ballot papers for the Inverness Business Improvement District (BID) renewal election will arrive on the doorsteps of 676 voters in 447 premises today (Friday).

The election is being conducted by The Highland Council and voters have until 5pm on Thursday 21 March to return their ballot papers.
The count will take place on Friday 22 March and the result announced at 2pm that day.

Businesses within the BID area are being asked to vote on the proposal to renew the Business Improvement District for a further five-year period from 1 April 2013 until 31 March 2018.

The ballot will be conducted entirely by post on behalf of the Ballot Holder, Alistair Dodds, who is Chief Executive,The Highland Council, by the independent scrutineer, Electoral Reform Services, London.
