River Ness Flood Alleviation Scheme update
Works on the River Ness Flood Alleviation Scheme are progressing, with current activity focused on Huntly Street and Glebe Street.
At Huntly Street, works are progressing between Wells Street and Huntly Court on the installation of new gas mains. This section of road will re-open on Wednesday 20 February.
From Monday 18 February until Saturday 23 March, the section of road between Huntly Court and Balnain Street will be closed, again for gas works. Parking in other sections of Huntly Street is restricted to permit and blue badge holders only.
From 25 March until late April, the section of road between Balnain Street and Ness Bridge will be closed for gas works. Parking in other sections of Huntly St is restricted to permit and blue badge holders only.
Friars Street re-opens tomorrow (Saturday). Parking restrictions will revert to those in place prior to works commencing (pay and display and permit holders).
Glebe Street remains closed due to SSE works until approximately Friday 22 February, with no through route to Douglas Row. Access and egress from Douglas Row will remain via Bank Street only until this work is complete.
Riverside Street will re-open tomorrow (Saturday).
