Dunnet Area Sculpture Proposals, Drop-In Session and Exhibition
As part of the Planning and Development Service’s £100,000 upgrade of its existing visitor facilities at Dunnet Beach and Dunnet Head, Sculptors have been commissioned to design Interpretive artworks to help promote these distinctive and unique places, and to raise their profile.
With an aim of increasing visitor numbers and stimulating visitors to find out more about the history and natural environment, sketch designs have been prepared which focus on the Wartime Radar installations at Dunnet Head and the Sealife of Dunnet Beach.
For each site, three alternative sketch designs of sculptures have been developed and Members of the Public are invited to attend a Drop-in Session and Exhibition at Britannia Hall in Dunnet on Monday 18th February to learn more and make their preferences and views known.
The session will run from 12.30pm to 7.30pm and Planning Service staff will be there to answer your questions, along with the appointed Sculptors.
