Results of Community Council interim elections
Four Highland community councils are able to continue operating following recent interim elections.
Nominations were invited from 5 February to 20 February 2013 for persons seeking election to Community Councils serving Acharacle (Lochaber), Ferintosh (Black Isle), Holm (Inverness) and Lochbroom (West Ross).
In each case, the number of candidates nominated was less than the number of councillors to be returned, so no elections will take place, and the list of candidates for each community council are now declared to be elected as councillors.
Acharacle now has four members, with the election of David Ogg. The maximum membership is 8.
Ferintosh has five members, with the election of Adam Lloyd and Iain McCallum. The maximum membership is 8.
Holm has 7 members, with the election of Julia Brook, Katherine Mackenzie, and Mary Matheson. The maximum membership is 9.
Lochbroom has eight new members. They are: Paul Bennet, Ann Hoffmann, John Lavelle; Mairi Mackenzie; Peter Newling, Kathleen Ross; Ian Shackleton and Sigi Whittle. The maximum membership is 10.
