Provost Pays Tribute to Courier Editor
Provost William Smith, Chairman of the City of Inverness and Area Committee of The Highland Council, has paid tribute to the outstanding service to journalism of Jim Love, Editor of the Inverness Courier, who died on Thursday 27 July at the age of 63 following a long illness.
He said: "Jim was an outstanding writer, with a love of jazz and the arts, and a first class editor. He was accurate and fair in his reporting and always constructive in his leading articles.
"He will be missed greatly as a reporter, editor and most of all as a friend. Our thoughts are with his widow, Joan and family at this time."
