Meet the Gruffalo with the Countryside Rangers
Come along to Farr this Friday (12 July) to meet the Gruffalo with the Highland Council Countryside Rangers.
The event takes place between 2pm and 3.30pm at School Wood in Farr, Inverness-shire. This event is most suitable for families with children aged between 4 and 10 years old. The cost is £3 per child.
Families will play the part of the mouse in the Gruffalo story. As they make their way around the wood, they will meet the characters from the storybook. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Katy Martin, Highland Council Ranger for the area, said “School Wood is easily accessible and it’s a great location for bringing the Gruffalo story to life.”
For more information, call Katy on 01463 255291.
This event is one of 175 summer walks and events that the Countryside Rangers are running during the school summer holidays. Families have another opportunity to Meet the Gruffalo on the 14th August at Shenval, Glen Urquhart.
There are many other character-based events run by the Rangers. Join the In The Night Garden characters on 23rd July at Fort Augustus and 16th August at Newtonmore. Families can join the Peppa Pig Puzzle in East Caithness on 15th July and North Caithness on 16th July. We also have a Winnie the Pooh event at Drumnadrochit on 24th July.
For older children, we run a host of events including kite-making, pond-dipping, junior ranger events and mini-beast safaris.
