Bunkers Festival welcomes golf enthusiasts to city centre

An early evening party atmostphere is being created in Inverness city centre on Friday and Saturday to mark the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open championships being held at the nearby Castle Stuart Links.

The Highland Council’s Inverness Festivals Team is providing free entertainment in Inverness Town House and city centre streets for those returning from the day’s golf at the event and all of the visitors to the city.

The Bunkers Festival will run from  7 pm until 8.30 pm on both nights and visitors will  get the chance to have a look inside Inverness Town House for the first time this year as the Fraser School of Highland Dancing and Fiddle Forte will be providing entertainment in the Main Hall.

Once again the performers in the Bunkers Festival are competing to discover who can find the most unusual places to perform as they tour the city centre; and joining the variety of musicians, performers, mascots, pipers and dancers on display will be 2 Giant Seagulls and a Giant Golfer complete with a ball that has an aversion to being hit.
