A838 Laxford Bridge North Approach

Works have commenced on an £810,000 road scheme on the north approach to Laxford Bridge on the A 838 road on Sutherland’s west coast and will continue until September.  The works involve widening and realigning the existing single track road to provide a modern two way standard.

Pat Munro Ltd of Alness have been appointed the main contractor for the project. The works will maintain traffic flow throughout the project as the majority of the construction has been designed adjacent to the existing road. This will allow the free movement of traffic and minimise the use of traffic control and reduce delay on the route.
