Cuach na Cloinne 2013 goes to Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Inbhir Nis – again!

Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Inbhir Nis were the winners of the 2013 Cuach na Cloinne Gaelic primary schools’ football competition, overcoming Back Primary School in the final.  This is the second year running that Bun-sgoil Ghàidhlig Inbhir Nis have won the trophy.  In this year’s competition, which was funded by Bòrd na Gàidhlig, The Highland Council, Comhairle nan Eilean Siar and MG ALBA, 37 teams from 20 schools across Scotland took part.

Inverness Provost Councillor Alex Graham, who presented the trophy,  said: “Many congratulations go to the Bun-sgoil Ghaidhlig Inbhir Nis for retaining the trophy. Cuach na Cloinne has created an opportunity for young people from schools across Scotland who attend Gaelic Medium Education to meet and compete against each other and combines their Gaelic linguistic and footballing skills in an inclusive and entertaining manner."
