Cradlehall Primary School makes it to Euroquiz final in the Scottish Parliament

Cradlehall Primary School, Inverness has won a coveted place in the grand final of the Scottish European Trust’s Euroquiz, to be held on Monday 13 May in the Scottish Parliament Debating Chamber in Edinburgh.

Yesterday (5 March) at the Highland heat of Euroquiz, held in Millburn Academy, Inverness Cradlehall pupils took part in the competition among 15 schools and around 70 pupils.

Euroquiz is a competition for Primary 6 pupils which helps them develop their knowledge of Europe and the European Union, as well as core skills such as communication and teamwork.  Over 1,500 pupils competed in the area heats among 30 of the 32 Scottish local authorities.

To secure their place in the final, the Cradlehall Primary team of Anna Taylor (captain), Logan Ewan, Paul Wilby and Adam MacArthur fought off some superb competition from 14 other primary schools (including North Kessock) in the Highland Council heat. Other schools taking part were Ardersier, Balloch, Banavie, Cawdor, Craighill, Dornoch, Drakies, Farr, Knockbreck, Lochardil,  Park, Rosebank and South Lodge Primaries.
