Closing the Gap

Highland Councillors are being encouraged to attend an important conference taking place  in Inverness next month.

It is a joint Council/NHS Highland Conference called 'Closing the Gap – Inequalities in Health in Highland', which is to be held at Eden Court Theatre on Tuesday 30 April.

Sir Harry Burns, Scotland’s Chief Medical Officer is the keynote speaker.

The conference will highlight the pioneering work the Highland Community Planning Partnership are leading on health inequalities, including preventative spend on early years and older people services, addressing deprivation and exploring new ways to work to tackle health inequalities.
