Alness Academy Geoscience Club win UK competition

Alness Academy Geoscience Club participated in the Big Bang Young Engineers Fair in London last week as Young Engineering Club of the Year 2012 and came away with the prize of “Best Engineering Project” of 2013.

The 6 girl team of Rachel Macrae, Abbie Mowat, Corrin Blake, Emilia Stewart, Sophie McChristie and Josie Tolliday impressed visitors and judges alike and were delighted to win this new award.

The club are now preparing for 2 competitions in June and hope to win again the Scottish Government Junior Saltire award won in 2012 and the Scottish Young Engineers and Science Club competition won in 2011.
