Beauly Primary phenomenal Red Nose Day fundraising
Pupils at Beauly Primary school have raised nearly £6,000 for Red Nose Day.
Every child in the 106-pupil primary school and nursery ran either one kilometer or one mile in their pyjamas to raise money for Comic Relief on a very special Red Nose Day.
Head Teacher, Kenneth Morrison said: “We have not received all the money yet from the sponsored pyjama fun run…… but already we have over £2700 raised for this wonderful cause.
“Everyone had a great time while making a valuable contribution through their fundraising at the same time. Each and every child should be very proud of what they have done for this very special cause! To make this tally even better, Royal Bank of Scotland have agreed to match our funding, pound for pound! At present our fundraising total sits at an unbelievable £5425.20!
“With the remaining collections, coupled with additional match-funding this is set to reach the £6000 mark by the end of this week! Thanks must go to everyone in the local community for sponsoring, cheering, encouraging and supporting this incredible fundraising effort.
“This achievement was driven by our Fundraising Citizenship Group, which is run by Miss Macleod (P7 Job-share Teacher). What our children have achieved is simply incredible and they should all be truly proud of what they have done.”
