Motorists advised of delays on B9006 for Inverness Campus access works.

Motorists are being advised that delays are currently being experienced on Culloden Road (B9006) due to road works around the new Inverness Campus access.

The works are taking place today (Wednesday 1), Thursday 2 and Friday 3 May to resurface the existing road. The traffic lights at Culloden Road and the A9 slip road have been switched off (temporarily) and have been replaced with manually operated traffic control, which is much more efficient in controlling traffic during this type of work involving single file traffic.

Two way traffic will be restored, to minimise delays during the morning and evening peak traffic times.

The Highland Council apologises for any inconvenience and urges drivers to be patient and consider using alternative routes.

Caulfield Road North remains closed until 13 May to vehicular traffic between its junction with Culloden Road (B9006) next to the Vets and the construction access junction.

These restrictions are required to allow road widening works to take place on Culloden Road.
