Twelve week consultation – Self Directed Support
A number of events are being held across Highland as part of a 12 week consultation on the Statutory Guidance and Regulations which will accompany the Social Care (Self-directed Support) (Scotland) Act 2013.
The Act gives people a range of options for how their social care is delivered, beyond just direct payments, empowering people to decide how much ongoing control and responsibility they want over their own support arrangements.
The document contains draft statutory guidance on the values, principles, legal duties and powers associated with social care assessment, support planning and review.

These events, which are aimed at health and social care professionals, service users and members of the public, will take place across Highland. Tea and coffee will be provided.
The events are being held at the following areas –
