Review of Polling District and Polling Places 2014
The Highland Council has today (Friday 15 November 2013) launched the first of two periods of consultation over its review of election polling districts and polling places.
This is to ensure that every elector has reasonable facilities for voting and at a polling place that is accessible for all electors, including those who are disabled.
The Review Consultation invites the public to comment by 7 February, next year, on the current network of polling districts and polling places.
The second phase, which runs between 4 April – 27 June, next year, will invite comments on draft proposals that emerge from the consultation and the Returning Officer’s representations.
The list of current Polling Districts and Polling Places; maps containing each of the Polling Districts in Highland; a link to “Polling Station Finder” which allows you to identify your Polling District and Polling Place and an online survey to provide feedback are available for consideration on the Council’s website at /yourcouncil/elections/newboundarymaps-wards
