Temporary road closure for charity run event
Motorists are being advised of temporary road closures in Inverness this weekend in the interests of public safety for the Run for Smiles Highland Hospice charity event.
Ness Walk, between its junction with Ballifeary Lane and its junction with Bishop’s Road will be closed on Sunday 6 October 2013, from 12noon to 1pm.
The closure is required during the Run for Smiles event, which was originally planned to take place on Sunday 15 September 2013, but was postponed due to predicted bad weather. This event is aimed at children from primary schools across the Highlands, from 5 years old to 12/13 years old.
The closure will affect vehicular traffic, but pedestrian access and access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times. The road closure will be signposted during the periods of the closure.
