Cromarty School takes the trophy
Cromarty Primary School pupils are this year’s winners of the annual ‘Creative Cromarty’ competition organised by the Cromarty Arts Trust. The whole school was involved in designing and making exhibits of different kinds for the Cromarty Homes and Heritage Exhibition in the town’s Victoria Hall. They wrote about their own homes; they drew pictures of houses in the town; they took part in ‘Memories’ sessions with some of the older inhabitants; and they made models of some of Cromarty’s favourite buildings.
Head Teacher Henri Shepherd said " This was a fantastic project for the pupils to be involved in. The pupils have learned about different aspects of their community and have had opportunities to discover the rich heritage of Cromarty.
