Chance to enjoy Highland Autumn colours on two guided walks

The Highland Council Countryside Rangers are inviting people outdoors  to explore and enjoy some of the best Highland scenery this week with two events showcasing the autumnal woodlands of Reelig Glen and Glen Affric, near Inverness. 

The first walk takes place on Friday (25 October) afternoon to explore Reelig Glen.  Ranger Katy Martin said: “Reelig is a beautiful woodland and on our walk we’ll be following  a 2km easy route along the side of the Moniack Burn with plenty of  tall trees,wildlife and autumn colours to enjoy” Anyone wishing to come along should meet up with Katy at the Reelig Glen car park at 2pm.  The cost will be £3 for adults and £2 for concessions. 

For anyone looking for a longer leg stretching walk on Saturday (26 October) the Rangers will be leading a 10km walk through one of Scotland’s most beautiful glens, Glen Affric.  The walk will start at 10am and last for 6 hours.  Places are limited and must be booked in advance by giving the Rangers a call on 01463 255291 or e-mailing rangers.inverness@highland.gov.uk. The meeting up point will be given when places are booked and the cost will be £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.
