Ardgour slipway repairs
Overnight work is underway on emergency repairs of the Corran Ferry slipway at Ardgour to ensure that ferry services can continue as normal during the three-week contract.
The works entail strengthening of steel piles along the slipway edge and plating of the slipway surface at a cost of £48,000. The contractor is North West Marine.
A Highland Council spokesman said: “The work is being carried out in night shifts to allow the works to be completed as soon as possible and to avoid disruption to ferry operations. All efforts are being made to ensure that any noise and disruption is kept to a minimum. Ferry services will continue as normal.”
