Temporary road closure Kilmorack - Beauly
A temporary closure of the U1451 Ruilick – Drumindorsair – Torgormack Road (between Kilmorack and Beauly using the back roads) will come into effect on Monday 30 September and remain in place until Monday 7 October.
This is to allow a contractor, working on behalf of SSE, to excavate and place electricity cables within the public road boundary. This work can only be safely undertaken within a road closure. Unfortunately no vehicles can be allowed to travel through the closure section, owing to the width and depth of the excavation, on a narrow single track section of road. Access to local properties will be maintained however.
Services buses are unaffected and the school bus operator has indicated that he is happy to work around the closure. Advance warning signs are now in place and the contractor will arrange for a letter drop to local residents.
