Valentine woodland walk at Farr

The Highland Council’s Countryside Rangers are challenging people to get outdoors and join them for a Valentine themed woodland walk at Farr, near Inverness on Saturday 15 February.

Katy Martin, Inverness Ranger said: “People have used plants and animals to predict their fortunes in love, health and happiness through time. This event will explore some of these stories and we’ll try out some of the ideas and "laugh out loud."

The event is family friendly and the 2km route will be around an attractive woodland in Farr lasting 2 hours.  The walk starts at 2pm and places are limited so anyone wishing to come along should book a place by telephoning Katy on 01463 255291 or e-mailing  rangers.inverness@highland.gov.uk.

The exact meeting place will be given out hen bookings are made and the cost will be £3 for adults and £2 concessions. Family tickets are available.

The Countryside Rangers run many events and guided walks which aim to help raise awareness and encourage appreciation of the scenery, wildlife and heritage of the Highlands. A programme of Ranger Guided Walks and Events is on the council’s website.
