Police in Inverness issue travel advice ahead of football match on Saturday

Issued by Police Scotland

Police Scotland Highland and Islands Division are advising all road users to expect a significant increase in the volume of traffic on roads in the city this Saturday (15 February 2014) due to the Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Hearts football match and also taking into account the road works on the Kessock Bridge.

The match starts at 3pm hours and spectators are asked to leave plenty time for their journey to the game.

For the information of other road users, traffic volume usually peaks in the area of the Kessock Bridge for about one hour prior to the game, so where possible alternative routes should be sought around this time.

The patience and cooperation of all road users is appreciated.
