Road condition and gritting treatment reports by The Highland Council’s, Transport, Environmental and Community Services for the morning of Tuesday, 14 January 2014 are as follows:

Lochaber
All roads affected by hoar frost and icy patches in the west of the area and treatment carried out accordingly. All roads clear and no problems reported. Posted: 14/01/2014 10:10.

South Sutherland and East Ross 
All roads affected by hoar frost and icy patches. A836 Lairg to Altnaharra affected by thick patchy fog. All roads treated. Posted: 14/01/2014 09:29

Caithness and North Sutherland
Both Caithness and North Sutherland areas affected by white frosts and sparkle. Treating by priority, no problems reported. Posted: 14/01/2014 08:59

Nairn
Icy and frosty stretches, gritting road routes by priority. Posted: 14/01/2014 08:08

Badenoch and Strathspey
Grey frost and icy patches; checking and treating routes by priority. Posted: 14/01/2014 08:06

Black Isle, Mid & West Ross
Icy patches forming where water seeping onto roads. Otherwise patches of grey frost. Light dusting of snow on Bealach Na Ba. Posted: 14/01/2014 07:55

Skye and Lochalsh
Icy stretches throughout, treatment on going, no problems reported. Posted: 14/01/2014 07:38

Inverness
Patchy grey frost on roads. Gritting primary, secondary and high ground on other roads. Posted: 14/01/2014 06:34
