Temporary road closures – Easter Ross

Motorists are being advised by The Highland Council that temporary road closures will be put in place from 7am on Tuesday 5 August until 6pm on Friday 8 August 2014 on the following roads:

• U1992 Evanton – Swordale road (from the Mains of Assynt Farm westwards for a distance of 1.5km); and
• the U1891 Brenachie – Lamington road (Easter Ross) from the C1012 to the junction with the U1890 for a distance of 1,650 metres.

The closures are to allow major repair work. Barriers and signs will be in place while the roads are closed.

There is no diversion route available on the U1992 Evanton – Swordale road as this is a “No Through” road. Various diversion routes are available for the U1891  Brenachie – Lamington closure.

Pedestrian access will be maintained and Emergency access will be available and the closures will be lifted as soon as the work is complete. Access to properties within the closure will be maintained by arrangement.

The Council apologises for any inconvenience of these closures which are due to essential works.
