Weight restriction introduced at Glen Affric following landslip

The location is in the vicinity of the Dog Falls approximately 2km west of Fasnakyle. The slip has occurred immediately below the road level and the existing road has been partially undermined.

The road is currently open with traffic being realigned nearer to the rock face on the opposite side of the road. Because of the close proximity of the slip to the driven line of vehicles an emergency 3 Tonne weight limit has been implemented. The Council is presently carrying out further assessments to decide what future action is required to stabilise the embankment.
