Thurso recycling point at Lidl closed
People in Thurso are being advised by The Highland Council that the recycling banks at Thurso Lidl have been removed until February 2015 due to lack of space in the car park during the store’s renovations.
At this time of year householders have a lot of extra recycling, including glass in particular, and the Council is urging them to use other banks in the town.
There are Recycling Points at Riverside Car Park, Dale Road, Henderson Street, Tesco (no glass banks here) and Thurso Recycling Centre, Janetstown.
The Council apologises for the inconvenience but asks that householders use the alternative banks rather than leave their recycling in the Lidl car park as this will be deemed as fly tipping.
Alternative nearby short-term sites are being looked at in the meantime, as this is one of the most heavily used Recycling Points in Caithness.
