Inverness winter event is “simply wonderful”
The Highland Council’s Winter Wonderland event over the weekend (Friday 12 - Sunday 14 December 2014) attracted over 10,000 spectators to Whin Park in Inverness.
As well as providing toddlers with a last opportunity to chat with Santa and meet his reindeer; this year’s show also gave children the chance to climb inside giant inflatable balls and enjoy the challenge of attempting to walk across the park’s boating lake which had been specially refilled for the occasion.
Chair of the Inverness Events and Festivals Working Group, Councillor Glynis Sinclair said: “We are delighted to have welcomed so many folk to this year’s show. It was simply wonderful to see the smiles and looks of amazement on so many little faces.”
