World of pantomime saved by Ardnamurchan High
Ardnamurchan High School has performed this year's pantomime, “Panto Pandemonium” firstly at dress rehearsal to hugely enthusiastic primary pupils from across the Ardnamurchan and Movern peninsula and then to warmly receptive audiences on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 December.
Head Teacher Christopher Millar-Craig said: “The entry of a number of staff appearing as the seven dwarves (to a surprised Jack without-beanstalk-and-friends) added to the fun.
“All participants were hugely relieved when the wicked witch played by Kirstyn Rowantree, and her evil henchmen Grotty and Spotty played by Niamh MacLellan and Kay Christian, were finally brought into the light by the good fairy played by Rachel Bolton.”
Mr Miller-Craig added: “As all magic was restored to all symbols and elements of pantomimes everywhere, the panto season well and truly began! The production was skilfully produced and musically directed by Temporary Music Teacher Ruth Whittaker and co-directed by Trish Kennedy”.
