Consultation event in Brora cancelled

In light of the on-going poor weather conditions and the impact this has had on local communities and travel routes, The Highland Council has decided to cancel the public consultation event that was to be held in Brora Community Centre this evening.

The meeting about the Caithness & Sutherland Local Development Plan (CaSPlan) was due to be attended by residents and business representatives from Golspie, Rogart, Helmsdale and Brora.

Council officers are looking to rearrange the event for a date within the next few weeks and those attending will still be given opportunity to submit their comments on the CaSPlan Main Issues Report.

The Council’s Development Plans Manager, Scott Dalgarno said “Details of the rescheduled event will be publicised and circulated within the next few days.  We look forward to meeting you all soon and hearing your views.”
