Support and advice during severe weather

Public agencies have taken various measures over the weekend to ensure vulnerable people have been identified during the recent severe weather and support and advice provided.

As some households still remain without power, NHS Highland has set up a phone number tonight.

If anyone has concerns about the wellbeing of any individual in the Highland Council area they should call 0845 6014813 and they will be able to speak to a member of the out-of hours social work team.

If you know of anyone experiencing difficulties especially in areas with no power please call the number and provided for advice or to support if required

On behalf of all public agencies in The Highland Council area, NHS Highland appealed to the public to look out for each other and in particular those who are vulnerable.
