Update - Eastgate Hostel, Inverness

Late yesterday afternoon (Thursday 19 February 2015) notification was received by The Highland Council that the owners of the property 36 - 40 Eastgate Inverness had appointed a contractor to make safe the property in line with the requirements of the dangerous building notice served on them.

Last week, the Council’s Building Standards Team issued a Dangerous Building Enforcement Notice to each of the owners of the Eastgate Hostel, Inverness on Wednesday, 11 February 2015.

The works are confirmed as due to proceed on Monday 23 February. Highland Council has accepted this confirmation and await further detailed information to ensure that works proceed as confirmed and are carried out within acceptable timescales.
