Autumn walk with Highland Rangers

Highland Council’s Rangers are inviting people to join them on an Autumn walk at Loch Duntelchaig to see the spectacular colours of the countryside.

‘Autumn Colours Walk’ will take place on Saturday 11th November between 10am and 2pm.

Katy Martin Senior Ranger for Inverness and Nairn said: “If you  have ever wondered why or how leaves change colour? Or how animals prepare for the winter ahead of them? Then this is the walk for you. It's a stunning route with great views about Strathnairn, but people do need to be well prepared.”

This ranger-led 8km walk on the shores on Loch Duntelchaig, follows through the forest and out onto the open hill. Meet at the layby at Loch Duntelchaig  (grid ref NH 648321), south of Inverness.

Organised by The Highland Council’s Planning and Development Service as part of the Rangers’ programme of events, ‘Autumn Colours’ is a free event. Participants should wear walking boots and waterproofs on this walk which is weather dependant. Call the Rangers on 01463 724312 for more information.
