Free parking in Rose Street Car Park this weekend

 The Highland Council will not be charging people using Rose Street Car Park in the City Centre this weekend.  

A council spokesman said: “We are aware of the difficulties people have driving around the city centre at the moment so thought making the car park at Rose Street free for users over the weekend would benefit local businesses and people wanting to spend time in the city centre.”  

Businesses unaffected by the fire are open and trading as normal.  The current traffic management system in place will be reviewed next week and drivers are asked to be aware of the restrictions and read the signage that has gone up around the city.
