Ward Forum to discuss Corran Ferry

A Fort William and Ardnamurchan (Ward 22) Ward Forum is being held on Monday 18 May to discuss the Corran Ferry.

Supporting the Local Members for the evening will be William Gilfillan, The Highland Council’s Director of Community Services.  The main focus of the event will involve consideration of suggestions for cost-reductions already put forward by the community as well as consideration of any other ideas which may come forward.  The format of the evening will be very interactive allowing everyone to put forward ideas and suggestions.

Area Leader Councillor Thomas MacLennan said: “The community has already been very proactive in putting forward suggestions about how we can reduce the costs of operating the Corran Ferry.  The Ward Forum will give further opportunity for discussion of these ideas with the wider community as well as the opportunity to consider any new ones which may be put forward.”

The Forum is being held from 6.30pm until 8.30pm in Ardnamurchan High School, Strontian.  As always, the last twenty minutes will be given over to a public question and answer session relating to any other topics.
