Glasgow Science Centre comes to Highland Primary
Pupils at a Highland Primary school are to experience the Glasgow Science Centre in their own school this week when the Science Centre’s latest mobile tour stops off at Tore Primary on Thursday (14 May).
The interactive outreach programme explores the human body through educational science shows, demonstrations, workshops and hands-on exhibits. The digestive system will feature heavily in the visit. Since its inception in 2008, more than a million people from across Scotland have engaged with the Body Works on Tour - 40 percent of whom were school pupils.
Head Teacher, Audrey Buchanan said: “In the summer I took my own family to see the exhibition in Glasgow and they thought it was great. When I saw they were touring I thought our Tore kids would love it and was delighted when we were able to secure a visit. It’s a great interactive and engaging way for our pupils to learn.”
