Communities developing services for themselves
The next meeting of the Inverness West District Partnership will be on Friday 19 June at the Phipps Hall in Beauly.
The partnership is a multi-agency group that looks at services for children and adults and considers how they can be improved or changed to better meet the needs of local communities.
The emphasis on the June meeting will be on communities developing services for themselves with support from The Highland Council, NHS Highland and voluntary groups.
Chairperson of the Inverness West District Partnership Councillor Margaret Davidson said:
“Communities are increasingly looking at the need in their own locations and are coming up with solutions that often involve them delivering services with the public sector. They know what they need and usually know best how to provide it. The Partnership meeting is a great opportunity for the public sector to hear what communities are saying and to respond to that.”
The meeting is open to everyone and will start at 10am and run till about 12.30pm. Please contact Charles Stephen on 01463 785010 for more details.
