Inverness East District Partnership on the move in Hilton
The next meeting of the Inverness East District Partnership will be on Wednesday 24 June in the Ross Room, Hilton Community Centre, Inverness.
The partnership is a multi-agency group that looks at health and social care services for children and adults. Partners consider how services delivered by the Council, Health Service and voluntary groups might be improved or changed to better meet the needs of local communities.
The focus at the June meeting is Hilton in Inverness.
Chairperson Councillor Ken Gowans commented:
“Some parts of Hilton are ranked amongst the most deprived areas in Scotland. We want to create a true partnership environment by engaging directly with the community to effectively tackle local issues; I would encourage any local voluntary groups or individuals who have an interest in health or social care to come along and participate.
“District Partnership bring together as wide range stakeholders from the public and third sectors to enable better and more appropriate delivery of health and wellbeing services that are so important for local communities.”
The discussion will be led by Gavin Sell, Adult Services Manager for NHS Highland and Margaret Kinsella, Highland Council District Manager for Care and Learning Services.
Mr Sell said; “I expect a wide range of issues to be covered in the discussion, including how our service users make the transition from children to adult services and how Self-Directed Support works”
The meeting is open to all and starts at 10am.
