Fortrose Academy congratulates pupils on their successes

Pupils at Fortrose Academy have proved themselves high achievers following this week's exam results.

Depute Rector Jacquie Ross said: “Once again we are delighted that the hard work and dedication of our pupils and staff has resulted in an excellent performance by pupils at Fortrose Academy in their National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Level examinations.”

A total of 26 S5 pupils have achieved 5 Highers with 6 pupils achieving 5 Highers at grade A.  These pupils are:

Jody Anderson; Sarah Ashburn; Ben Beasley; Lorcan Downing-James; Dominic Lloyd and Neil McFadden.

Forty pupils passed at least one Advanced Higher and two pupils achieved three Advanced Highers at grade A:

Charlie Merrell and Robert Giddy.

Jacquie continued: “Such excellent results are a result of the willingness of pupils to work hard and the support of staff who inevitably go the extra mile to assist them in their work.  We are extremely proud of our young people and congratulate them for their excellent performance.”
