Leader of Highland Council meets with HMICS
Leader of The Highland Council, Margaret Davidson met with Her Majesty's Inspector of Constabulary in Scotland (HMICS), Mr Derek Penman, today to discuss the Inverness Police Control Room.
She said: “I would like to thank Mr Penman for taking time to come to Inverness and listen to the concerns of The Highland Council. Our meeting was very positive and he completely understands the need for public confidence in the local Police service. We in Highland, as well as elsewhere, need to be clear that our calls are being dealt with effectively and safely.
“I understand the work of the Review is well underway and HMICS is getting a good response to their public survey and I would encourage people to respond to this as it is available until 23 August on their website.”
Councillor Davidson added: “We keenly await the outcome of the Review.”
