Invitation to Dingwall networking showcase event
Dingwall is to host a
celebratory showcase event next week that will focus on health and social care
issues and bring together representatives from many local services to promote
their work and explore new ways of working together.
The Mid Ross District Partnership has organised the event, which takes place
next Friday (28 August) in Dingwall Academy, as a way of raising awareness of
the work it does and to stimulate conversations and increase networking with
members of the public and representatives from local voluntary and community
groups who have been invited.
The drop-in event, to which members of the public are invited, takes place from
10am to 12 noon and will be very interactive. As well as a wide selection of
displays, stalls and information, they’ll be refreshments and the chance to
speak to people working in the health and social care sector.
Sarah Wedgewood, Chair of the District Partnership said: “We saw holding this
public networking event as a great chance to raise awareness of the work of the
Partnership and to find out about what people think of local services in their
area. We are particularly keen to hear from people about public sector or
voluntary organisations in their community which affect children, families and
adults so I hope as many people as possible take up this chance to pop along
and let us know their ideas and suggestions.”
District partnerships were established throughout Highland two years ago to
consider and respond to issues around Integrated Children’s Services and Adult
Services. They were intended to be action focussed and provide a clear 2-way
link between strategic direction and local solutions.
Sarah added: “Mid Ross District Partnership sees this event as an exciting and
practice leading way of ensuring this remit is kept alive, and we are inviting
everyone to come along and get involved.”
