Easter Ross District Partnership meeting next week
The next meeting of the Easter Ross District Partnership will take place on Friday 4 September at the Averon Centre in Alness.
The agenda will include a presentation by Gill McVicar, NHS Director of Operations, North and West Highland on “Learning From Nuka”. The Nuka system of care is a name given to the whole health care system created, managed and owned by Alaska Native people to achieve physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness.
Also on the agenda will be a presentation on the new Community Development Fund from Mhairi Wyllie, Chief Officer with the Highland Third Sector Interface. The fund is designed for community and third sector groups to support the growth, development or establishment activities which providing services, activities or care for people with long term health conditions, to include older people. The fund allows for up to £40k per District Partnership area to be distributed in grants of up to £5k per applicationfor community groups and charities operating in that area.
District Partnerships bring together a range of partners to discuss issues relating to the delivery of Integrated Childrens and Adult Services and health, social care and community safety issues in each partnership area.
The meeting, which starts at 11am, is open to the public and there will be an opportunity for members of the public to raise issues and ask questions.
