Temporary traffic light controls on A82

Temporary traffic light controls will be in place on the A82 between Bught Road and Bught Drive on Monday 12 October, working overnight and throughout Tuesday 13 October. This is to allow essential service work.

MM Miller, the Council’s Contractor for the Inverness West Link Advance Works, will be installing service ducts across the A82 Trunk Road. Traffic delays at the morning peak period on Tuesday 13th October are to be expected and the Council asks that motorists allow extra time for their journeys and consider using General Booth Road as an alternative route.

A second operation for a duct crossing, located just east of the Bught Drive junction with A82 Glenurquhart Road, will commence on the morning of Sunday 18 October and finish temporarily, late that evening. It will restart on Monday 19 October at 7.30am with work expected to be complete that afternoon.

Every effort has been made to minimise the traffic management for these works and we would thank people for their patience and for motorists to avoid this route, if at all possible for these short periods.
