Your Island, Your cash, Your Choice – Skye and Raasay
Residents in Skye and Raasay are being invited to consider if they have an idea to help improve their local community. £15,000 has been set aside for projects that aim to improve the community and could benefit from a £100 - £1500 grant. The fund is open to any local community, voluntary or non-profit organisations that are based in Eilean a Cheὸ, projects can be large or small, add value to existing projects or be something completely new.
Applicants will be invited to present their ideas at a community event where members of the public will vote to decide the projects that they think best meet the communities priorities. The event is open to all, and individuals who would like to help decide are invited to attend the event and vote for their favoured projects. The event will be held at the Fingal Centre, Portree High School on Saturday 28 May, starting at 10:30am.
