Public Meeting about formal closure of Kinbrace Primary School

The Highland Council are inviting parents, children and members of the public to attend a meeting next week to discuss the proposal to formally close Kinbrace Primary in Sutherland which has been “mothballed” since the summer of 2013.  Since that time local children of pre-school or primary age have been attending Helmsdale Primary.

The meeting will be held at Kinbrace Primary School at 7pm on Wednesday 22 June and everyone in the community is welcome to come along and give their views.

Anyone unable to attend can still take part in the consultation by visiting the Council’s website where the Proposal Paper and associated documents are available from

The consultation will run until Wednesday 24 August.
