Closure of the Black Isle Education Centre Public Meeting

The Highland Council are inviting parents, children and members of the public to attend a meeting next week to discuss the proposal to close The Black Isle Education Centre.

Use of the Centre has changed significantly in recent years. There are currently no young people enrolled as pupils. Those who are still attending are there on a part-time basis, and we propose to provide support to them in other ways.

The meeting will be held at The Black Isle Education Centre at 7pm on Wednesday 29 June and everyone in the community is welcome to come along and give their views.

Anyone unable to attend can still take part in the consultation by visiting the Council’s website where the Proposal Paper and associated documents are available from

http://www.highland.gov.uk/info/893/schools_-_general_information/24/school_consultations

The consultation will run until Wednesday 24 August.”
