Go fly a Kite @ Kingussie
Adults and children looking to have some fun over the holidays are being invited to come along and join The Highland Council Countryside Rangers for a kite making and flying session in Kingussie on Tuesday 12 July.
A simple but thoroughly enjoyable outdoor event and activity, the Rangers will be getting people to make kites out of bits and bobs and with luck try flying them.
How creative and imaginative can you be?
Saranne Bish from Highland Council Countryside Rangers said: “Everyone enjoys playing outdoors and making a kite is no exception. Let’s see what artistic and impressive kites we can make? The afternoon is going to be so much fun for all the family.”
The sessions runs from 2pm to 4pm and there is no need to book in advance , just turn up with some waterproofs just in case and park in the Ardvonie car park by the public toilets. Grid ref: NH 755 006
The cost will be £3.50 for children under 16.
Countryside Rangers run many events and guided walks which aim to help raise awareness and encourage appreciation of the scenery, wildlife and heritage of the Highlands. A programme of Ranger Guided Walks and Events is on the council’s website at: www.highland.gov.uk/countrysiderangerevents
