Temporary traffic restrictions during Scottish Open

Drivers are being advised that temporary traffic restrictions will be in place on local roads prior to, during, and immediately after the ‘Scottish Open 2016’ golf tournament which takes place this weekend at Castle Stuart.

The restrictions come into effect at 18:00 hours on Tuesday 5 July 2016 and will remain in force until 22:00 hours on Monday 11 July 2016.

They are as follows:

• B9039 Newton – Ardersier Road30 MPH
  No waiting
  No right-turn manoeuvres from event exit gates.

• C1017 Kerrowgair – Croy Road (3 sections of road as listed in the schedules)
  30 MPH
  No waiting
  No waiting (unless under Police direction) on spur road section

• C1020 Dalcross Station Road
  No waiting
  Vehicles prohibited (except for local access)

• U1283 Castle Stuart – Easter Dalziel Road
  No waiting
  Vehicles prohibited (except for local access)
  One-way from Castle Stuart to Easter Dalziel (contingency arrangement)

• U1008 Morayston – Castle Stuart
  30 MPH
  No waiting
  Vehicles prohibited (except for local access, VIP, courtesy, or under Police direction)
  One way from Castle Stuart to A96

• U1012 Wester Fisherton Road
  Vehicles prohibited (except for local access)

• U2113 Easterton Road, Dalcross
  Vehicles prohibited (except for local access)

Spectators are being encouraged to leave their cars at home and make use of the free shuttle bus services which will be operating daily from 6.30am at Inverness Bus Station and 6.10am from Inverness Airport. Details of timetables are here or by please contact Stagecoach
