Refurbishment of high level windows at Inverness Leisure
Customers at Inverness Leisure will this week receive notification regarding four-days of reduced access to the facility whilst refurbishment to the high level windows above the pool takes place.
A spokesperson for The Highland Council said, “A 100 tonne crane will be lifting beams into place across the swimming pool roof in order to allow the works to commence.
“For safety reasons all areas of Inverness Leisure will be closed to customers for one day on 15th August. A further three day reduction in service to the swimming pools will take place on 16th, 17th & 18th while the heavy lifting works take place above.
“As the use of the crane will be dependent on fair weather, High Life Highland will keep Inverness Leisure customers updated during the service reductions via their website and social media pages.
“These works conclude the final stages of the current major improvements at Inverness Leisure and when complete the internal and external scaffolding located at the swimming pool areas will be removed.”
