New Civic Leader for Caithness 

The new Civic Leader of Caithness is Councillor Gillian Coghill who takes over the role from Councillor Gail Ross.

One of four councillors representing the Landward Caithness Ward, Councillor Coghill, who was appointed at the start of today’s Caithness Committee, is delighted with her new role which is an honorary post and carries no remuneration.

Speaking after the Committee she said: “I am very proud to have been chosen as the civic leader of Caithness. It is a great honour and I will represent the area to the best of my abilities. Caithness has much to offer from the wide ranging skills of its people to its natural landscape that is beautifully unique. It will be a pleasure carrying out my duties.”
